Toronto...

June 8th around noon I called to see if the boys has landed safely. Their plane had been scheduled to land around 10:30a.m. our time and I wanted to make sure they were alright, so I called.

"Hey, so you guys landed safely?" I ask with concern

"Oh yeah," Wes says with a laugh "we're already on the CN tower!"

"What?"

"Well, we couldn't get into our hotel room until two, so we figured we'd start sightseeing."

I started to laugh, "OOOK, you do know that you're there until Friday right?"

"Yeah, yeah." he laughs with me, we talk for a bit longer and then I leave them to their sight seeing.

The CN Tower

One of the views from the CN tower

They were fortunate to be able to go up to the sky pod. If the wind is too strong than the elevator to the second level is shut down because the tower can sway a meter in the air and then apparently the elevators don't work either. Hmmm...I'm not a big fan of heights, but it didn't seem to bother the guys at all. Then there's the idea of standing on a glass floor looking down on Toronto (342 meters or 1122 ft)...not sure about that either.

Then from the CN Tower they decided to go to the Blue Jays Stadium for a tour at three. When three rolled around they realized that they were the only ones on the tour. Wes didn't think they would do the tour with only two people, but the guy locked the doors and said, "Let's go!" He took them through the stadium and took pictures of them in the dugout and on the pitchers mound. He said that normally he couldn't take them into those areas, but because the Blue Jays were out of town and there was no one practicing he could take them on a full tour.

Then the next day they went to the Hockey Hall of Fame and had their picture taken with the Stanley Cup.

After the Hockey Hall of Fame they spent about three and a half hours touring Casa Loma. A beautiful castle!

The entrance to Canada's Wonderland
The next day they went to Canada's Wonderland and went on a few rides, then, after a good soaking on the whitewater rafting ride they made their way back to the hotel. On their last day they spent a few hours at the Toronto Zoo.

Well, they came home safe and sound. I picked them up just after three on Friday afternoon. I believe that this was a trip to remember for both of them...

"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made..."Romans 1:20
